Public schools are the bedrock of Mississippi communities. Along with neighborhoods, churches, and workplaces, public schools hold our communities together and determine our future.
Schoolhouse to Statehouse is a statewide program developed by Parents for Public Schools (PPS) to improve public education throughout the state of Mississippi. We are building a powerful movement in Mississippi to engage parents to work to improve public schools. Through active participation of large numbers of parents and partnerships with organizations who share our vision of good schools for all children.
Schoolhouse to the Statehouse seeks to improve public education for all by focusing on local schools; local school districts; and the Mississippi Legislature and state education policy-makers. PPS supports the mission of The Parents’ Campaign, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to improving state and legislative education efforts (see www.msparentscampaign.org).
